JEFFERSON COUNTY (WTAJ) – A way to bring the community together with a friendly competition for students has taken place on Main St. in Brookville for 67 years.

Every year around Halloween art students paint the windows of local businesses a spooky design for community members to vote on.

“This is one of the few schools that does something like this that has that much art in the program and its great the connection that they can then have with the community itself,” art teacher Steve Jaworski said.

Community members have the opportunity to vote on which paintings they like most at three different locations. Fox’s Pizza, the YMCA, and the Brookville Chamber of Commerce.
