The online ordering of handmade bowls will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, with pickup scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24. The in-person event, featuring soups from local eateries and home cooks, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huntingdon.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Huntingdon County residents in need, with the initiative having raised over $86,000 to date,

“We started this to bring attention to local hunger issues and give back,” Bethany Benson Burns, chair of the Art Department at Juniata College said. “It’s a wonderful way to engage students and the community in meaningful service.”
