ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A man was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly stabbed someone during a property exchange.

Christopher Thomas was arrested after officers from the Altoona Police Department (APD) were called to a home on the 1500 block of 3rd Street for a report of a stabbing just after 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. Once on scene officers found a male victim with a stab wound to his leg who was then transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment.

She told police that there was a brief exchange before Thomas entered her residence and began assaulting her. According to police, he hit her multiple times in the face before moving on to the second victim.

Thomas allegedly shoved the male victim, produced a knife, and then stabbed the man in the leg. He then fled from the scene before police arrived.

A short time later officers with the APD determined that Thomas was staying at a halfway house in Coalport. APD along with Pennsylvania State Police out of Clearfield arrived at the halfway house and took Thomas into custody in the early morning hours of Oct. 26.

Thomas was taken to the Blair County Prison and is being held with bail set at $150,000. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, possessing instruments of crime, simple assault and harassment.
