Watertown man killed in northwestern CT crash

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a three vehicle crash in the Northfield section of Litchfield early Tuesday morning.

Trooper say David Kaufman, 83, of Watertown, was killed in the crash.

The 2015 Honda Civic LX that Kaufman was driving was hit by a car attempting to cross the Main Street and Route 254 intersection, resulting in the Honda being pushed into the northbound lane, where it struck a third vehicle head-on.

Kaufman was taken to Waterbury Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
