Armed Newington storage facility burglary under investigation

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Newington Police are investigating an armed burglary reported at the Cube Smart self-storage facility.

A call reporting a burglary in progress at the facility on Maselli Road around 1:29 a.m. Wednesday made note that at least one of the three suspects was armed. They're all described as masked and dark-skinned.

Before police could arrive, the suspects fled the area in a white pickup truck.

Responding officers discovered 15 units with signs of forced entry.

At this time, investigators say they're working working to contact the renters of these units to see what, if anything, was stolen.
