NORWALK, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police arrest a Norwalk man in connection with a threat made against a Superior Court judge.

State Police say Nicholas Supple, 48, of Norwalk, had called the Judicial Call Center to obtain body camera and motor vehicle footage concerning a previous arrest.

During the phone call, Supple allegedly said: "I am going to assassinate the Judge that signed my warrant."

The call taker asked the male individual for his name, and he muttered his name was Nicholas, however his last name was not clear.

Due to the seriousness of the call, the call was transferred to a supervisor and the call was subsequently flagged in their system.

State Police were able to contact the call taker's supervisor who pointed investigators to Supple's call.

The judge was identified and notified of the threat made against them.

Norwalk Police Officers assisted in the investigation by attempting to locate Supple at his last known address, but did not locate him there.

He was later arrested at his place of employment the following day, around 5 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Supple is charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

    His bond is $250,000.
