5th grader brought knife to New Haven school

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Bishop Woods Architecture and Design Magnet School staff took a knife from a fifth grade student on Wednesday after classmates reported they had it, according to New Haven Public Schools.

The student was separated from the other children, where employees took away the knife. No one was injured.

Further details, including if the student will face disciplinary actions, were not immediately provided by the district.
