Truck crashes into pole, takes down power lines in East Granby

EAST GRANBY, Conn. (WTNH) — A road is closed and power is affected in a neighborhood of East Granby Thursday afternoon, according to fire officials.

Around 12:36 p.m., fire officials said a collision involving a truck and pole occurred at the intersection of Seymour Road and Route 187.

“There are poles down at the location including power lines,” they said in a Facebook post .

Police said power is affected in the area.

The road is expected to be closed for an extended period of time. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and remember an inoperable traffic light should be treated as a four-way stop.
