    Card skimmer found in New London grocery store

    NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — New London police say they discovered a card skimming device at NSA Supermarket this week.

    Police said the device was found as they were doing a round of skimming-inspections at some retail locations in the city.

    How to avoid becoming prey to skimming scams

    The grocery store is located at 332 S. Frontage Rd.

    Customers are advised to check their card transactions and alert their bank to any suspicious account activity.

    Criminals using card skimmers to target SNAP users in Connecticut

    Police are investigating how the skimming device got there and when. Anyone with information or who may be involved with card skimmers is encouraged to contact the New London Police Department at 860-447-5269, ext. 0 or anonymously through the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
