Man dies in West Hartford I-84 motorcycle crash

WEST HARTFORD. Conn. (WTNH) — A man died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 84 Saturday afternoon in West Hartford, says state police.

State police say at 12:45 p.m., 43-year-old Joey Roldan was driving his 2000 Suzuki motorcycle East of exit 40 when for an unknown reason, he lost control.

Roldan and his bike became separated after the collision and both came to an uncontrolled stop in the left shoulder.

Roldan suffered significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Interstate 84 West in West Hartford was closed for several hours between exits 41 and 40 due to the crash and drivers were being directed off Exit 41.

State police are asking anyone with information to contact Trooper Baillargeon at 860-534-1000 extension 6074, or email him at eric.baillargeon@ct.gov .
