Nyberg: Hamden woman writes book to help children navigate grief

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman from Hamden just published a children’s book to help kids learn about and cope with grief.

Kellie Kaminskas came up with the idea to write “Here With You” for her son, who’s father passed away when he was a baby. As he got older, he began asking more questions about his dad that were difficult to answer. She knew that she was not the only parent struggling to help their child navigate grief, so she wrote the book to help her son and other children going through similar situations.
