Stratford beaches to reopen for swimming on Friday

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stratford beaches will reopen for swimming on Friday after being closed due to bacteria, according to the Stratford Health Department.

Testing earlier in the week revealed high levels of bacteria at all Stratford beaches. The health department believes the high levels to be due in part to the large amount of debris from the Housatonic River.
