ENFIELD, Conn (WTNH) — A passenger in an SUV was pronounced deceased after a collision with a pick-up truck Friday afternoon in Enfield.

The crash occurred exactly at 1:39 p.m. on Enfield St. just North of South Rd. The Enfield Police Department’s Traffic Division closed Route 5 in the areas of Enfield St., Post Office Rd., Nutmeg Ave., and Phoenix Ave. to carry out an investigation.

The SUV passenger was 62-year-old Patricia Carey, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 27-year-old male, received medical treatment at St. Francis Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Officer Ragion at 860-763-8920.
