Serious injuries on I-91 crash in Wethersfield

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A section of Interstate 91 in Wethersfield was closed after a motor vehicle accident caused serious injuries.

The collision happened moments before 1:00 a.m. on the southbound side of I-91 in the area of exit 26. State police say serious injuries were reported, and at least one victim was taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed for almost five hours as troopers investigated the crash, and the area of Exit 26 was reopened after 5:00 a.m.
