A stray shower with a bit of humidity on this last Sunday of August

What a day yesterday! Comfortable humidity, low 80s, lots of sun. I was boating on the Sound and there was almost no chop either! Great news for the bluefish tournament.

Today looks pretty good as well, but not as nice with a little wildfire smoke in the am, some PM clouds and more humidity. There could be an isolated shower during the afternoon or evening but not enough of a threat to change your plans!

Some spotty thundershowers possible Monday afternoon. Dry for Tuesday but more widespread showers/storms looking likely for Wednesday with the approach of a cold front. Drying out later in the week.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. More humid and not as cool with lows in the low-mid 60s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, warm and humid. Highs in the low-mid 80s.

Wednesday: Hazy sun, very warm and oppressive humidity with scattered late-day thunderstorms. Highs mid-upper 80s.

Thursday: Turning partly sunny, cooler and less humid. Highs in the upper 70s.

Friday/Saturday: Partly sunny, a few showers around? Highs near 80
