    CSP: Bristol man drove 120 mph on Route 2

    BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bristol man was driving almost double the speed limit on Route 2 when he was arrested Saturday afternoon, according to state police.

    Mohamed Safran Mohamed-Shakur, 22, was charged with operating a motor vehicle to endanger occupants of such motor vehicle, and with reckless driving. He has been released on a $5,000 bond.

    Mohamed-Shakur was driving a Mercedes Benz G-Class 123 mph in a 65 mph zone in Marlborough, according to state police. There were two adult passengers in the Mercedes at the time.
