    No injures reported after industrial building catches fire in Rocky Hill

    ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — Rocky Hill fire officials say no injuries were reported after the Pro-Rez Performance Resins & Coatings building caught fire Wednesday night.

    Fire crews were dispatched to 712 Brook St. around 9:41 p.m. Wednesday, for report of a fire alarm going off. Upon arrival, they found the commercial property with moderate smoke showing and water coming from under a loading dock garage door.

    When crews forced entry into the building, they found heavy smoke and flames coming form the area inside the rear of the building and water sprinklers activated- which controlled the fire until crews arrived.

    A potentially hazardous materials condition was identified during the response, but was found not to be a danger to crew members or the environment.

    CT flood victims’ insurance claims denied

    Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) responded to the scene and validated the product, according to fire officials.

    The scene was cleared around 10 p.m. The Fire Marshal’s Office will inspect the building and investigate the cause of the fire.
