Toy Closet Golf Outing raises $40k

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The 30th Annual Toy Closet Golf Outing was on Friday morning at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield.

News 8 Anchor Ann Nyberg is the founder of the Toy Closet Program at Yale New Haven Hospital. 300 golfers take part in the event every year, and this year the event was able to raise $40,000 towards buying toys and other items for hospitalized children.

This years outing was played in memoriam of long time committee member, Keith Goodson.
