NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Two women were reportedly grazed by bullets after a bar fight resulted in shots being fired at a restaurant in New Haven.

Early Saturday morning at 1:00, emergency responders were called to the NOA By September in Bangkok restaurant at 200 Crown St. for reports of gunfire.

New Haven police say witnesses informed them that a bar fight occurred before the shooting. At the scene, officers say a 28-year-old woman approached them and claimed she was struck by a bullet. A scratch on the woman’s shin that “had a small amount of blood” could be seen, and she was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital.

A second woman displayed a “small red mark” on her right ankle to officers. The mark did not puncture the skin and she denied medical attention.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Ballistic evidence was gathered from the restaurant and the New Haven Police Department is asking anyone with information to call investigators at 203-946-6304 or leave an anonymous tip at 866-888-8477.
