    Motorcycle crash on I-91 South kills a passenger and closes Exit 35A

    WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) – The passenger on a motorcycle was killed in a crash on I-91 South Saturday evening, according to State Police.

    The motorcycle was heading south on I-91 when the driver veered into the left shoulder and hit a metal guardrail. Both the driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle.

    Troop H responded to the crash 5:08 p.m. where the motorcycle’s driver, 33-year-old Randy Carrero from Manchester, was found seriously injured and was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment.

    The passenger, 21-year-old Valerie Ann Eaton of Hartford, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The motorcycle was badly damaged and had to be towed. Exit 35A of I-91 south was reopened at 9:08 p.m. Saturday night.

    This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information related to this accident is asked to call Troop H at 860-534-1098.
