EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A small dog found Thursday shaking in the grass in East Hartford has been euthanized, according to animal control.

Authorities are looking for who abandoned the dog, which was found on Smith Drive. The dog is described as a young female who was white and tan.

She was euthanized due to “the severity of her condition,” according to animal control, which has not elaborated on potential injuries or conditions.

Desmond’s Army is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest.
