    Connecticut State Police issue 605 speeding tickets during Labor Day weekend

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police wrote 605 speeding tickets, made 41 driving under the influence arrests and responded to 334 crashes over the Labor Day weekend, according to data released Tuesday morning.

    The data was tracked from midnight Friday through 11:59 p.m. on Monday and included 5,118 calls for service.

    Additionally, troopers wrote 10 seat belt violations and 343 tickets for hazardous moving violations like following too closely or failure to move over.

    Of those 268 crashes, one person died in Windsor, and two seriously injured people in Cromwell and Mansfield.
