    Ansonia man arrested after crashing stolen motorcycle while carrying illegal handgun

    ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — Ansonia police say a city man is accused of crashing a stolen motorcycle while carrying an illegal firearm early Sunday morning.

    44-year-old Marcise Glover was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a pistol, failure to obtain serial number, operating under suspension, distracted driving and failure to drive right.

    His charges come from about 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 1, when police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on near Wakelee Avenue on Division Street.

    Police said Glover told officers he lost control of the motorcycle after looking at an incoming call on his phone.

    The motorcycle was reported stolen out of Shelton.

    CSP: Driver went 115 mph through I-95 construction

    At the time of his arrest, he was found with a 9mm handgun with no serial number and a 9mm round.

    Glover posted a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Derby Superior Court on Sept. 16.
