PLAINVILLVE, Conn. (WTNH) — The outdoor concession stand at Plainville High School was recently broken into and vandalized, according to the president of the school’s Athletic Backers Club.

President Sara Limmer posted to Facebook Wednesday saying the stand was damaged with a fire extinguisher.

She said the stand is funded and cared for by a handful of volunteers, who now have to get the stand cleaned and spend money to replace everything that was ruined.

“It is already an immense struggle to open for all home PHS varsity games,” Limmer said. “Being faced with this now makes it feel near impossible.”

The club is asking anyone interested in volunteering to reach out. Meetings are held the first school Monday of every month in the high school’s media center at 7 p.m.
