    Suspect who stole $2K from Putnam Wendy’s believed to be former employee

    PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) — State police are searching for a suspect accused of stealing about $2,000 from a Wendy’s on Wednesday.

    After reviewing security footage, troopers said they believe the suspect is a former employee with a key to the building an an access code for the alarm system.

    DEA conducting investigation in East Haven

    State police said the suspect gained access to the restaurant around 5 a.m. and stole about $2,100 from a safe inside, noting they do not know if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.
