Driver runs away after hitting Waterbury house

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A driver took off after hitting another car and then a house early Monday morning in Waterbury, according to police.

A Honda Civic and a Nissan Altima crashed at about 3 a.m. on Purdy Road, according to officers. The Altima then went off the road and hit a home’s deck.

The Alima’s driver then took off, leaving a handgun behind.

The driver in the Civic was not injured.
