Officials identify man killed in Old Saybrook boating accident as search resumes for 2 missing men

DEEP EnCon Police Capt. Keith Williams said that around 12:10 p.m. Friday, two EnCon police officers found one of the missing men about a quarter mile from the crash site.

The second body was found at around 4:30 p.m., according to DEEP. Officials have not announced where he was found.

The missing men have been identified as 25-year-old Ian Duchemin, from Oakdale, and 24-year-old Ryan Britagna, of Waterford. The chief medical examiner’s office has yet to determine the cause and manner of the deaths.

Teams had been searching all week in wake of the crash, which left six people hospitalized.

Officials have previously announced that 34-year-old Christopher Hallahan , of Westbrook, was found dead on the boat. A GoFundMe for Hallahan was created to assist in funeral expenses.

Nine people were onboard the 31-foot boat when it crashed into a jetty at the mouth of the Connecticut River.
