Child removed from motel after narcotics were found in their system

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men were arrested at a motel in Windsor Locks after a child was found with narcotics in their system, says police.

On Thursday, the Department of Children and Families informed the Windsor Locks Police Department of an ongoing investigation at Bradley Inn, a motel located at 5 Ella Grasso Turnpike.

A child was removed from the room, and it was later discovered that cocaine and methamphetamines were in their system. That same day, Windsor Locks police obtained a warrant to search the motel room where they found narcotics, including fentanyl.

Two men were arrested in this investigation: 33-year-old Montaser Hussein from East Windsor and 53-year-old Michael Blackman from Hartford.

Hussein was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell. Hussein also had two outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court for previous crimes.

Blackman was charged with driving under the influence.

Windsor Locks police say the room was in “deplorable condition,” and the town’s building inspector was called.

The Windsor Locks Police Department says they have been called to the Bradley Inn motel numerous times due to its “high level of criminal activity.”

This investigation remains ongoing, and due to the child’s age, no other information will be released.
