NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A disturbance at a festival in Norwalk left two juveniles with stab wounds and one taken into custody, says police.

On Friday, officers with the Norwalk Police Department were at the 46 Annual Norwalk Oyster Festival at Fort Point St. and Seaview Ave., when they noticed a disturbance.

The disturbance involved three juveniles, and two of them sustained stab wounds. First responders provided medical aid to the juveniles who were then taken to Norwalk Hospital for further treatment.

Officials say a male juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with assault in the first and second degrees. The suspect is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Bridgeport to await arraignment.

“This was not a random incident,” said Norwalk police after it was discovered that the three juveniles knew each other.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Norwalk Detective Bureau at 203-854-3111.
