    Woman struck by car in Plainville

    PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman had to be airlifted after being struck by a car Sunday morning in Plainville.

    Minutes after 10 a.m., the Plainville Police Department was informed of a motor vehicle accident involving a female pedestrian at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Hooker Street.

    Meriden student arrested after making online threat

    Authorities said medical aid was given to the woman before she was taken to a hospital by LifeStar helicopter. As of Sunday afternoon, she was listed in stable condition, police said.

    Plainville’s Traffic Division with assistance from state police, are investigating the events that led up to this crash.
