Suffield High School student killed in head-on dirt bike crash

SUFFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – A high school student died Sunday after a dirt bike crash, according to Suffield police.

The crash happened at 5:35 p.m. near Copper Hill Road and Woods Hollow Road.

On Monday, Suffield Public Schools announced that the victim was Carter Jones, a freshman at Suffield High School.

Investigations believe the teenager’s dirt bike was heading south on Copper Hill Road when a car traveling in the opposite direction collided head-on in the southbound lane.
