    Windsor store sells $3M winning scratch game ticket

    WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — A Windsor market will get a $40,000 bonus for selling a multi-million dollar winning scratch ticket, according to officials with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation.

    The winner won one of the three top prizes in the $4,000,000 Fortune scratch game, becoming the game’s first-ever top prize winner.

    $750K lottery ticket sold in South Windsor

    Officials said the winning ticket was purchased at Lara Market LLC. on Kennedy Road.

    The winner choose to collect a one-time lump sum payment of $3,000,000 over the $4,000,000 20-year annuity.

    CT Lottery President and CEO Frank Suarez presented the winner with a check at CT Lottery’s headquarters in Wallingford.

    The scratch game was launched last December and has a ticket price of $50. Two other top prizes remain unclaimed. Overall odds 1 in 2.38.
