EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A 27-year-old East Hampton man has been charged with arson after allegedly setting his house on fire this spring.

James Jones, who lived on School House Lane, lit the home on fire in March, according to police. When arrested late last month, he was already in police custody for a different case. Police have not provided specific details on the other arrest.

Jones has been charged with third-degree arson, first-degree reckless endangerment and illegal burning/kindling fire in the open.

He has been assigned a $75,000 bond.
