6 displaced after Manchester house fire

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Six people were displaced after a fire broke out at a home on School Street Monday night, according to Manchester fire officials.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 130 block around 8:48 p.m. Upon arrival, they found fire in the back corner of the house quickly spreading to the second floor and the interior.

All seven of Manchester Fire’s companies responded, getting the fire under control in about 20 minutes.

The building suffered moderate damage and no injuries were sustained.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin.
