    These 8 Connecticut schools landed on Forbes ‘America’s Top Colleges’ list

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Eight Connecticut colleges were named to Forbes’ “ America’s Top Colleges of 2024 ” list released this month.

    The list includes 500 schools across the country, which Forbes says offer the best educational, financial, and career outcomes for all students.

    Connecticut State Colleges and Universities to receive $80M in emergency funding

    The group uses 14 metrics to assess the schools, from alumni salary to debt load for students and graduation rate.

    The following Connecticut schools made the list:

    #4 – Yale University
    #54 – Wesleyan University
    #71 – Trinity College
    #85 – University of Connecticut
    #161 – Connecticut College
    #338 – Charter Oak State College
    #374 – Central Connecticut State University
    #405 – Fairfield University

    The other schools named to the top five spots included, in order: Princeton University, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of California, Berkeley.

    If Forbes can specify what is acceptable metrics on selection criteria , certainly it will be debatable.
