Man sentenced for death of CCSU student

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A Danbury man has been sentenced to prison for the February 2023 death of Central Connecticut State University student Saradina “Sara” Redman.

Brandon Maynard was sentenced last week in Hartford Superior Court to 15 years in jail, suspended after 5 years and then 5 years probation. He also received prison time on drug related charges related to the case.

Redman was a biomolecular science major at the time of her death. Maynard was not a student at CCSU.
