    3 Connecticut schools make Blue Ribbon list

    CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Three Connecticut schools were named 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools Monday, earning the Department of Education’s award for high achievement or successfully closing achievement gaps.

    Those schools were:

    • Daniel Hand High School in Madison
    • Israel Putnam Elementary School in Meriden
    • Sunnyside Elementary School in Shelton

    “Connecticut’s public schools are considered among the best in the nation, and that is because of the top-quality teachers and staff in our school systems who provide a high level of learning that is helping our students achieve success,” Governor Lamont said in a statement. “… I congratulate these three public schools in Madison, Meriden, and Shelton on earning this national distinction and I wish them continued success.”

    Daniel Hand High School was recognized for its strong overall performance since starting the Next Generation Accountability System ten years ago, while Israel Putnam Elementary School and Sunnyside Elementary School won points for strong academic growth.

    The 2024 Blue Ribbon Schools list features 356 schools.

    “Connecticut public schools are one of the best in the nation” what a load of horseshit. I go to trade school and people were just flinging their own human shit at the wall. If Connecticut is on the higher end of the spectrum then I don’t wanna know what’s the lower end…

    It’s probably because they don’t follow the indoctrinating program and kids aren’t indoctrinated like the inner cities are
