MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (WTNH) — You’ve heard of baptism by fire, but what about a christening?

Gordon Ramsay has turned up the heat — literally — to celebrate the opening of the new “Hell’s Kitchen” studio at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The celebrity chef is depicted in photos using a flamethrower on a large trident outside of the new studio.

“Looks like @gordongram ’s feeling HOT-TO-GO! 🔥😎” the casino wrote in an Instagram post.

Ramsay will film season 23 and 24 of “Hell’s Kitchen” at Foxwoods inside of a custom-built property designed specifically for the show.

The host has made stops across the state so far this year, including trying New Haven pizza. In a photo earlier this year, he showed off a massive purple bruise he received after crashing his bicycle. He credited his survival to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital — and wearing a helmet.

The first episode of season 23, “Hell Heads East,” premiers Thursday.
