    Plymouth police chief injured in crash on Route 6

    PLYMOUTH, Conn. (WTNH) — The chief of the Plymouth Police Department was injured Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Route 6, according to authorities.

    Police said that around 9 a.m. Karen Krasicky was traveling east on Route 6 (Main Street) when her police vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer while waiting to turn onto Harwinton Avenue. Her vehicle was then pushed into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by a car traveling west on Main Street.

    Krasicky was taken to a hospital and has since been released, police said. No one else was injured.

    Route 6 between South Street (Route 262) and Seymour Road has reopened.

    Any witnesses are asked to call the Plymouth Police Department at (860) 859-7779.
