Emergency crews promptly administered medical attention to all victims before transporting them to local hospitals by ambulance, after LifeStar helicopter was unavailable.

Officials have not yet provided an update on the other victims’ conditions.

Route 5 on the Berlin Turnpike was closed for approximately several hours and reopened shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Local and state police, and the Midstate Accident Reconstruction Squad, remained on the scene to continue the investigation into what led up to this crash.

Were the children wearing seatbelts and was this an eight passenger vehicle? Sorry but someone has to ask.
