    Juveniles charged with pushing stolen vehicle into Newington building

    NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Newington police say two juveniles were arrested Sunday after they allegedly pushed a stolen vehicle through a fence and into a commercial building.

    Officers were dispatched to the area of Carr Avenue and John Street for report of a motor vehicle accident around 5:21 p.m.

    Upon arrival, they found the unoccupied vehicle and learned a group of juveniles fled the area on foot.

    During the investigation, someone flagged down an officer to report two juveniles on a scooter who had just tried to carjack him in New Britain. Police said the victim pointed to the juveniles, who were still visible in the area.

    The juveniles were taken into custody. One was charged with interfering with an officer, engaging in a police pursuit, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

    The other juvenile was charged with interfering with an officer.

    Both juveniles were released to their legal guardians, police said.

    The accident is under investigation by Newington police and New Britain police are investigating the carjacking incident.

    of course they were,just to be let on the streets,again,to do it again.the legal guardians need to pay for damages kids need to see the I side for a stint.

    That's your first mistake, releasing them to their loser, lazy guardians who are SUPPOSED to be watching their kids. if they were, it never would've happened.😡😡😡😡😡
