    4 arrested after 100s of vehicles participate in illegal street takeover in Stratford

    STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Four people were arrested Sunday after an illegal street takeover involving hundreds of vehicles, according to Stratford police.

    Police said they received report of the street takeover just after midnight, at the entrance of the shopping center at 200 East Main St.

    Upon arrival, officers found several hundred vehicles and a “fully involved” illegal street takeover in progress.

    While breaking up the large gathering- which included vehicles and pedestrian observers- officers arrested four people for taking part.

    • Carlos Sanchez Hernandez, 20, was charged with breach of peace
    • Mailin Perez, 19, was charged with breach of peace, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance
    • Rodney Gist, 25, was charged with breach of peace
    • Tyler Ranger, 26, was charged with breach of peace

    Police said each suspect was released after posting $2,500 bonds. They are all scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.

    Hundreds of cars but only four people arrested? who the hell were driving the other cars? and then they get off with a slap on the wrist. That's why they do this because they could do whatever the hell they want without getting in trouble.

    Someone posted on another site that the penalties should be treated like DUI’s because the behavior is ad dangerous.
