Hadestown musical coming to Waterbury this weekend

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A new tour of the Hadestown musical is kicking off this weekend at the Palace Theater in Waterbury.

The award-winning show is a spin off of multiple ancient Greek myths. The show’s director said that even if you’ve seen the show before, their performance will be a much different experience.

“It’s a new version of Hadestown that’s been scaled down,” Keenan Tyler Oliphant, the director, said. “We have an exciting new company of actors that’s really the next generation of Broadway talent.”

Waterbury is the first stop for the cast before they kick off on a national tour. Performances at the theater are running from Thursday through Sunday, with five shows in total.
