Man killed in Hartford after being shot during ‘dispute’

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A 30-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon after being shot on a sidewalk, according to Hartford police.

Chevoyia Rivers, of Manchester, was shot at about 1:15 p.m. on Florence Street. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

He was in a “dispute” with another person at the time, according to police.

Police said that the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras, and that they’re searching for the suspect. A description of the shooter has not been made publicly available.
