Freebie Friday: Seasonal savings at Shake Shack, Lake Compounce, Bristol Bazaar

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — From pumpkins to treats, the first weekend of October has a few deals if you’re looking to save money. We are stretching your dollar this Freebie Friday with seasonal savings.

First, with football season in full swing, grab a free bite at Shake Shack . Get a free chicken shack on Sundays during the season with a ten dollar minimum order using the promo code “Chickensunday.”

Free soda is back at Lake Compounce in Bristol for the first time since 2017.
Self-serve soda stations and cups are available throughout the amusement park.

More stations have been added to make it easier and faster for guests to grab a drink.

If you’re looking for an activity, bring your pups out to the pumpkins at the Bristol Bazaar. There will be pumpkin patch photo ops, bingo, painting and other activities.

They’ve teamed up with Dog Star Rescue so you may find you’re next loved one to adopt.
Its free first Saturday at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London.

This Saturday is a pick and paint a pumpkin event. First come, first serve, one pumpkin per child from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
