    Waterbury man arrested on firearm charges

    HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A convicted felon was found in possession of two illegal firearms on Monday in Hartford, according to police.

    Man killed in Hartford after being shot during ‘dispute’

    Lequincy Smith, 39, of Waterbury was approached by police while they were patrolling the area of Burton Street and Hill Street. Police said that he was attempting to evade officers. During the investigation, police said that he was in possession of two loaded firearms, one of which was stolen from Hartford.

    Smith was arrested and is facing seven charges, including interfering with an officer, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit. He is in police custody and being held on a $500,000 bond.

    Slap his wrist, call him a naughty boy and then in a year or two, arrest him for the murder he will commit.
