    Connecticut Office of Inspector General releases body camera footage of Bridgeport officer shooting stabbing suspect

    BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released its preliminary report and body camera footage that shows a Bridgeport officer shooting a man after he stabbed another officer.

    Officers responded at around 1 a.m. Saturday for the report of an emotionally disturbed person at a home in the 100 block of Terry Place in Bridgeport.

    In the bodycam video, the suspect, 45-year-old Huntley Jackson, is seen coming out of a house and attacking Officer Marie Cetti. Police said Jackson had a knife and stabbed her in the shoulder, head and neck.

    Officer Jesse Jimenez fired his gun twice, hitting Jackson in the torso, the report said. Watch his body-worn camera recording in the video below.

    Jackson underwent surgery and is listed in guarded but stable condition. He was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault and assault on a public safety officer. His bond was set at $750,000.

    Cetti was treated and released.

    my thing is this he doesn't need 3 guns pointed at fireworks three people shooting and that's where thebproblem comes in with bridgeport police... once he was shoot and on the ground regardless of the knife he wasn't a threat as I saw in the video. these officers need to be retrained... or the department will continue to be sued because these human cops are just as afraid and have guns
