    LIFE STAR transports driver from crash on I-84 in Union

    UNION, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were seriously injured after a crash on I-84 eastbound Tuesday night, according to state police.

    LIFE STAR was requested to the scene of the crash, which happened in the area of Exit 73 just before 8 p.m.

    According to an accident summary, a 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback AWP was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree in the gore between the Exit 73 off ramp and I-84 eastbound.

    LIFE STAR transported the driver to Hartford Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

    Police said a passenger was also transported by EMS ground to the hospital, with suspected non-life threatening injuries.
