Man fatally shot on Ferry Street in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and later died, after being shot Wednesday afternoon on Ferry Street in New Haven, according to police.

Officers were at the scene, located near the intersection with Wolcott Street, at about noon. Police said the man is a 21-year-old New Haven resident, and that they think he was on a bicycle at the time.

Police announced at about 4 p.m. that he died.
