BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Saturday marks two years since Bristol Sgt. Alex Hamzy and Lt. Dustin DeMonte were killed in the line of duty on Oct. 12, 2022.

The Bristol Police Memorial Committee preserved the doors of a cruiser, which was unveiled in the police department’s lobby Friday morning. It will be a permanent display honoring and remembering Hamzy and DeMonte.

The police department said members of the public who wish to see the display and remember DeMonte and Hamzy may do so at any time following the unveiling event.
